Yes, DVD audio is an uncompressed from of audio from a DVD. To enjoy it in its full uncompressed state, you would need a DVD audio player and hook it into your receiver via the 5.1 channel discrete inputs (if it has those). Although most DVD Audio discs have a dolby digital track on them also. Although, it's not a 'true' DVD audio format.
