Hello!,

Welcome to the forum! For your question: Look if you receiver has a switched AC 110 volts socket in the rear of the unit. Generally this sockets are used to turn On/Off another units with low wattage. If your subwoofer has a high power consuption (as almost all) I recommend you use a 110 volts relay to trigger it. To clarify, your receiver will switch On/Off the relay, and the relay will switch On/Off the Subwoofer
