|Those were all very good questions. I finally got a hold of someone at Sony Tech support who seemed to know what I am asking. Apparently there's some "secret" way to do what I want that is not documented in the manual (or even in their tech support documents). I was just about to be connected to the person who remembered the "secret" when I got cut off...

Questions:
Is there a 'second room source' selector?

There is, but it apparently only selects the "source" to be used in the second room (i.e. CD, TV, etc)...it doesn't seem to selectively switch to that room (i.e. act like a regular A/B speaker switch)

Is there anything in the manual about the terminals?

Nope -- unfortunately, the manual depicts the labels on their diagrams, but nowhere does it say what it means..

Is anything mentioned about 'second room' at all?

Just a sentence or two -- not enough detail to decipher

Are there any RCA jacks labeled 'pre-out' and/or
'pre-in'?

There are RCA jacks labeled "2nd Room" which I've come to realize can be connected to a separate amp so that the main receiver would serve as the source...but still doesn't explain the speaker terminals...

Thanks for your thoughts! So frustrating!!
