I would say a simple Xantech IR kit would be the best solution. Have a look at the hidden link kit on the following page. With this you could place the IR reciever on top of the TV, run a small cable to the stereo and have the IR emitters connected to each component. This would also give you more expansion options in the future if you wanted to do whole house IR or something like that.
