I'm building a bookshelf installation for a television monitor and speakers which will only be about 12-15" deep. The shallow depth means I can't fit the stereo components in the same area. They would be located in some cabinets around 15 feet away. The stereo is needed to provide sound for the TV...so I think I would put the TV tuner there as well. Which means it would be kind of funny to point a remote at the side wall cabinets to control the television.
Is there a way to control the stereo components behind closed cabinet doors. It seems like a RF remote would do this, but I don't need the extensive Macro capability, and would love not to spend $1,500 to do it. I'm new to this - any help would be appreciated.
