Actually, when I said "plug it in", I was referring to the sub's power cord. I mentioned the sub's input connection(s) in the next paragraph.

I did, however, make a mistake that slipped by. If a mono cable is used between the receiver and the sub, the "Y" cord should have one female connector and two male connectors.
