I have owned a Sony 36" TV for the last 20 months. I have returned it 3 times for screen discoluration (slightly discoloured towards the edge of screen), but the fault was never recified, Today I was told of a simple way to deguass the screen. When the set is cold, press and hold the 'ON' button on the TV for 15 seconds and the TV will degauss. It worked for me, I can't believe that I have used the TV for nearly 2 years when such a simple fix was available. Hope this help anyone else with same problem.
