another plus from using any dvd as opposed to ripping the whole dvd to your harddrive is that its alot faster.. there is no waiting to store the whole thing on your computer, then you must burn to a disc... while with any dvd you get real time decryption as the movies is being compressed or burned..... i dont reccommednd compressing movies too much... i buy double layer discs so i get the full quality of the video and audio..
