Of course this is all skating around the original question, the answer to which is of course there is not really any effective way to remotely control a mechanical changer. The Sony CX777ES is no exception as it only rates 2 stars on average in usability. Cinemars stuff is cool but if you are going to use a computer anyway, why not just toss the mechanical changer and go with the hard drives. The Sony costs what, $700.00+dollars? What does 4 - 250 megabyte drives cost these days? I think you can put about 300 DVD’s on a terabyte.
