Hi,

Can anyone tell me whether the Yamaha z9 receiver/amp will output video from composite or s-video outputs if it only receives a video signal through its component input, i.e. will it "downgrade" the picture for those outputs?

The reason I am asking is that two of my DVD changers (at least) will either output video as composite/s-video OR component, but not both. So far I have chosen the former, so I can watch films both on my projector and TV, but if I could use the z-9 to downconvert I would get the best of both worlds!
