There are even a pile of 1280x768 widescreen displays, but you have to be careful whether those have been designed with 1.78:1 or 1.67:1 ratio. I seem to recall someone complaining about a 1280x768 display that used square pixels and HD material was actually displayed vertically stretched (no letterboxing).
