I would stay away from your friends recommendation. The pronto TSU3000 series is a grayscale touchscreen remote with a few hard buttons. This remote is more difficult for a consumer to program than a URC MX remote and the touchscreen is not as easy to see or use on a daily basis. If you need RF capabilities I'd recommend the MX-900 (which is replacing the 850) and an MRF-300 RF kit. Buy it from an authorized dealer either local or otherwise that will support you in your programming efforts. If you require programming assistance let us know in the URC forum. Keep in mind that professional programming for your system would range between 200 and 500 dollars; it may be money well spent depending upon your ability and frustration levels.
