Well, for example, the Samsung HC-P4741W 47" widescreen CRT RPTV is 44.3" wide. In their DLP line the 50" HL-P5063W model is 46.5" wide (don't know how much slack you had in your 46"), or the 46" HL-P4674W is 40.6" wide.
I'm sure other companies have plenty of widescreen RPTVs under 46" wide as well.
