I just purchased Toshiba's Home Theater System. It is an All-in-one system, it even has a VCR in it. Sure cleared up a lot of clutter in my living room. But I have Cox Cable Phoenix, and their Scientific Atlanta HD cable box. Has the remote AT8400. I would like to use that remote to control the volume of the Toshiba system, but there is no remote code I can put in that will work for Toshiba's system. I tried the "learn" mode and that don't work either. The companies that make these all-in-one systems put out tons of codes for individual units like JUST VCR's, or JUST DVD players, etc. But most of them never list codes for all-in-one systems. Some of the keys on Cox's PVR are kinda unique, like the "LIST" key etc. I really don't want to buy one of those "universal" remotes. (Radio Shack is supposed to make one that does it all) But half the time they can't control everything either, or you have to assign some obscure key to your "special" commands. My family is confussed enough by having to switch remotes all the time. Can anyone help me?
