Even though my Sony receiver's volume remains the same, the volume varies between watching TV, watching a DVD, and listening to music. I am automating and creating macros to turn on and off these devices (making life a little easier, as I am a quadriplegic). I've blown a few eardrums accidentally forgetting to turn the volume back down after listening to a device that requires the volume to be higher for the same volume output.

My question: is there a way to cause the volume to go to "0" and then allow me to consistently up it by a certain amount? Or, is there a way to input volume using numbers?
