I agree with Spikey, but it is personal preference. You have two basic choices, touchscreen and hard button, or a combination of the two. Personally I hate touchscreen remotes unless you get an oh my God expensive one like the ones Crestron or AMX makes because to get the remote to respond you have to be very accurate as to where you push on the touchscreen, or it will either not do what you want, or not respond at all, and with some of the cheaper models the display is hard to see at an angle. With the hard button remotes you know what you are pushing and I just find them easier to use. My personal preference is the Home Theater Master MX-700 or 800 only difference is RF capability on the 800, but look for new models from HTM that seem to have some nice upgrades, such as the center push wheel.
