I appreciate the time all of you put into replying, but I wish you could get past your hatred for Bose and answer the question better. Not one of you specifically answered the cable box question. Are you Lifestyle 28 owners?

I understand your hatred, but realize that Bose still has a strong offering for multiroom systems. Especially considering the uMusic system. It is all integrated, it works well. They could not be making crappy products and still selling them. Marketing does not make up for that. People don't buy products just because they are expensive and marketed well.

And for whoever, the Lifestyle systems DO have component inputs, you just use a cable dongle provided (2 are included).

I'm not an avid Bose supporter, I just think sometimes people are die-hard about their own cause and dont' consider that for other people's needs (easy multi-room, integration, wiring ease (feeds to other rooms are low voltage)) the product offering could be good.
