Yeah, MENU is pretty much of a bummer...on replacement and universal remotes.

Try the Pronto remote control forum, and also the Sony remote forum. Someone there might have an idea how to handle this.

Go to a store that sells PIO DVD players. Take your 3000 remote. Teach it the MENU code from every PIO DVD remote they will let you play with. Take the 3000 home and see if one of them works. Go back to the store, get that remote, and teach the command to the 3000 on the exact button you want it on.

Yes, there are still stores with actual people in them, who will let you do this. I could recommend one, but as your profile only says USA, I have to tell you that you will find one in the USA. I could give you better advice, or another poster could, but we would need a BIT more detail....
