You need a receiver. It doesn't sound like you have one, at least that I've read. A home theater receiver will have five outputs plus a subwoofer out. Your sources (TV, DVD, VHS) don't have the outputs you need. You are missing the key component in the system.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
