I guess one thing the IRIQ would have over the Pronto is the concept of "programming closure." I get the feeling that with the IRIQ, you would reach a point where you're satisfied with the way it's set up and get on with your life.

I'm half kidding and half serious.

You see, I don't know if I will ever stop trying to improve upon my Pronto configuration. Everything's learned and tweaked to death, but I feel like I haven't even begun.

Depending on your perspective, that could be good or bad. For me, it's an absolute blast. I've easily gotten $350 worth of enjoyment out of it--even if I had to give it back tomorrow.

If you don't make use of the Pronto software, you may achieve some sort of "programming closure." But if you do, it's downright addictive. As fun as it is, you'll chew up a lot of time perfecting your configurations, and you'll probably short yourself on some sleep at night.

So, from the closure standpoint, the IRIQ may have an advantage.
