The dealer has the *OPTION* to add some preprogramming for Madrigal components and the warranty is longer on the IRIQ. Otherwise these units are the same with the same software and IR code database.

If someone had all Madrigal and chose the IRIQ preprogramming it may indeed go smoother. Come to think of for $50.00 this could never work that great with 1000 of TV's, Projectors, Screens, X-10, there is no way a good job could be done remotely and there is no way a dealer could justify a house call and the work for $50.00. I suspect they just add the Madrigal components and that's it. Then the user is on his for the rest.

It would be very difficult for a dealer to program components that are not in the library and he does not sell (very possible). Which would involve a trip to your home etc, for $50.00 no way.
