Do you suppose this bidirectional stuff rules out something like the Phillips $400 remote?

FYI-this DA50 remote is soooo pitiful, that even with the fine tuning that I have put into it, about 90% of the time I cannot see the screen unless I turn the backlight on, hold it over my head, and turn it away from any light source. What to speak of the fact that it won't allow movement from one component to the next without physically shutting off the prior component.
