You can also get the firmware directly from Philips along with instructions on how to upgrade it.

Got to http://www.pronto.philips.com
Click on "Downloads"
Login (or create and account)
Click on "firmware"
Click on "firmware archive"
Choose the firmware for your model

This is Sys. 4.8, App 5.3 release date Aug26, 2002. It is an executable, so I don't believe you need to upgrade prontoedit to use it -- but if you are using an older version of prontoedit, I don't know why you wouldn't want to upgrade it too.

Before you do anything, check the current firmware version on your remote
