Well, I actually have 2 other Sony DVD players. As US model (NTSC) and a UK model (PAL). I live in the UK. You are correct that the Sony remote controls both Sony units, but it does nothing to the SOTECH. Oh well, I'm going to have to give up after all, although I should probably try the database Sony file.
