I think I understand. When I get home tonight, I'll reprogram the button and see if that does the trick.
Thanks for being patient with me; I would never have gotten into any of this except for the fact that the new TV which I had purchased did not provide a means of direct access to the inputs. (Because my surround processor only has composite and S inputs, I was unable to switch HDMI or component video through it). I was able to find a post on this site which contained those codes, so that both video and audio would switch together, and one thing led to another. If this works, I will have succeeded in fully automating everything in my system--which means maybe my wife won't feel so intimidated about using it.
I'll let you know if this fix does the trick.
