Hello all! Just wanted to say I'm new here and glad to be onboard - what a great site!

I am putting together a new HT system for my parents:
+ 46 inch Sony rear-projection widescreen
+ Comcast HDTV box
+ Sony progressive scan DVD
+ Sony 6.1 receiver
+ Panasonic hi-fi VCR

My parents are very anti-tech, and I wanted a univeral remote with the following features:
* Hard button if possible, with least amt of buttons, and arranged in logical manner
* Some simple macros for turning on components with device button, and changing inputs
* Won't lose programs during battery changes
* Backlight if possible
* Under $100 if possible

I was thinking of the Sony RM-VL900, but I had Sony remotes in the past and the buttons always FADE! I want something that will last a while, so I can program it for them, and they will be fine on their own.

Many thanks!!
