The JR500 is made by UEI, the makers of ofa/rs remotes, the code for philips in the ofa remote iis SAT1076. If the Jensen doesn't accept it then you will need another remote. OFA remotes with code 1076 include urc-6131, 8910, 9910, and the 9960. Directv.com is now selling a UEI made remote made especially for them, cost $21. It has codes in the front of the manual listed by model of receiver, the dsx-5500 code is 00099.
