I just got a Magnavox 42" plasma tv (not philips) and it seems to be pretty obscure as far as finding any information on it. Actually I have not been able to find any information at all on the web regarding this tv that I bought from HHGREG. I still can not figure out why neither HHGREG nor Magnavox has a website...sheessh...but that is off track.
I want a universal remote for this TV. I have tried a few universal models (rca and philips) ranging from $20 to $50. None of them had the code for my tv.
I am hoping someone on here might give me some input on this tv or a remote for it. I do not really want to spend 100 bones for a universal remote.
OEM remote is BRC-257s TV model #: 42MF000/17
If I can provide any more info I will do so.
P.S. the oem remote is silver and has a sliding hatch on the lowe portiion that has additional tv features. The tv is and EDTV with 2 componant, 2 avi, 1dvi, 1rgb, and 1 coaxial imputs. I guess that is about it
