Man, now I'm gonna sound like a complete idiot...
The DVD/CD is Pioneer and the VCR is Philips. That remote looks good. I think Hubby is looking for something with a touch screen. I should have been a little clearer in my first post. Perhaps anywhere up to $100.
We purchased an RCA RCU900, and programed everything but the DirecTV DVR. He also purchased a Philips Magnavox PM8FS. Yes, we both purchased them for stocking stuffers for eachother! Again, same problem with the Philips as with the RCA. Can't program that darned DTV DVR!!! Unless someone here can be of assistance.
