I just got the Philips RU760 Remote Control as a christmas gift.

I've learned it to control all my hifi equipment, except my Sony Amp.

My amp is Sony STR-DB1080 with original remote RM-LP211.

When I try to send the IR signals from the sony remote to the philips, the philips blinks two times to verify the signal was stored. But when I try to use the philips remote on the sony amp, it doesn't work. However, some signals are ok when sent to philips remote.

The signals I want to philips remote to learn are: Select/OK, Select Video/Video2/DVD/VCR/And the rest, Menu and more!

I have used the search function on the Philips RU760, and with AV1 set on my amp, I can use several functions on the Philips remote, but some are still missing.

I have read in the Philips manual, they can give you a 5 digit code that you can set to a specified button.


Why can't my Philips RU760 control the Sony amp, even though the Philips remote says OK when a signal is transmitted to it?

What are the 5 digit codes? Is the a list somewhere to download?

Can someone please help me to use my Philips RU760 remote with my Sony STR-DB1080?!
