My search for a uni that prioritizes my Tivo with RF out of the box has pointed me to a URC-9910. Before I pull the trigger I want to learn a bit more about the JP1 interface. Seems like computer programmiability is a very worthwhile feature but, according to the to the list at hifi-remote.com, is not JP1 compat.

Since my prority is using the remote for TV consumption and not hacking something so I can control drapes, lights, et al...should I even concern myself with the JP1 issues?

Is there a remote with a comperable rep to the 9910 that supports JP1?
