Because I am a remote newbie, I'll have to verify my understanding of your answer (thanks for the quick reply BTW!) The 1forAll is an option because it has a code for comcast support, but not the DVR function (right?) An alternative would be to buy a learning remote and "teach" it the codes from my existing remote (right) Is the 1forAll not a learning remote? I'd rather have the option of being able to transfer codes (if needed) I was looking into the Harmony 688 because I like the USB PC interface for creating macros and uploading new device codes - but would really appreciate your recommendation (what would you do if you were in my position)? I see the MX-700 gets a lot of nods when I read thru Tivo forums too. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
