Here is an UPDATE, I have left the battery disconnected for a month and now the remote works again. After trying every thing I could find to help I decided to clear the memory. I found that 1 or 2 weeks did not do it, so I then tried 1 month and when I hooked the battery back up the remote came back on with the default screen. I charged the unit up before I down loaded the latest working setup. I and have been using it for the past week with no problems. A few things that I would like to pass on, it takes over 2 weeks to clear the memory on this remote. The second thing is save changes to a setup under a different name so if something like this happens you can go back to your last working configuration. I am very glad that I have done this, I keep at least 5 versions as a backup for just this problem, and to see my progression.
