First, it only controls JVC vcrs. It takes two digit codes. I hope you understand this, once you program the Tv code in, to control the volume, you need to hold down the TV button at all times, while pressing the volume keys. I have 3 of the LP20303-015 remotes now, I used to have two LP20303-008 with my HR-S3500 & HR-S4500 vcrs. The difference in the remotes when programming them, now you need to press the OK key, where on yours you need to hit the STOP key. To program the Tv code:
1. press and hold TV
2. press MBR SET
3. enter the two digit code
4. press STOP, the tV should turn off.
