The Samsung went 2 for 4 this week. It read 2 DVDs on the first try. Two others it could not read at all. Both of the other disks could be read in my old Pioneer and my PC's DVD drive.

This does not seem to be cause by dirty or scratched disks. I inspect each DVD under good light, and will wash them if I see any finger prints. Of course I don't see any scratches and the DVDs play elsewhere in my house.

Really agravating, as this was NOT an inexpensive DVD player.
