The Sony 985 and 777 won't start playing the last disc
loaded automatically on power up so long as you had stopped
the last disc playing where it can resume playback prior
to shutting down the unit. It's a very simple workaround
to the autoplay option not addressing DVD's, only CD's.
Has been smooth sailing for me in this regard since I
purchased my first 3 985's a few years ago. Have 5 of
them now. Couldn't be happier.
Thanks Lowpro, I wish this workaround worked on the 995 and nobody at Sony could recommend an alternative player. Where can I get a 985?
