I did manage to teach jimmy the RC2000 Mk 1 to learn all of the commands by "pulsing" the 6 in 1. The only problem is that the RC2000 will not "repeat" the IR command with the button held down, so the "dim/bright" functions are worthless.

I tried the X-10 stuff with two different Sony learning remotes, and they work without a problem. Aaaaaaarrrgh!
