Anyone trying to program a remote for a Pioneer or Elite TV with the high frequency remote that comes with it may have a chore ahead. The best thing to do is get an old Pioneer TV remote or universal remote with Pioneer commands and use those. They transmit at 40k and the new Pioneer TVs will respond to the old commands.

Learned that lesson the hard way.
