Pioneer went "off the beaten track" for one year with their I/R code scheme. As you have stated, a higher (non-industry standard) carrier frequency.
I would guess that Xantech has some sort of solution in a translator although I can't tell you the model number. It would be a little box with an I/R sensor and emitter that I think could "map" a known code scheme back to the goofy Pioneer code scheme.
Also, info I have is that Philips is looking at some possibility to solving this through a possible software change, although this becoming reality is not confirmed at this time.

I would guess that your TV is about 3-4 years old?
