You can get the IR to X-10 controller from www.smarthome.com $20. I bought one and it works great. There's another thread on here about x-10 with some good info. I did use an X-10 IR/RF remote to program my Pronto. First, I had to tell the remote to use remote control code 014 to IR interface for X-10 rather than the RF one. Then I created separate buttons for each device. I use Channel up for On and Channel Down for off. I then used VOl up for Bright and Vol Down for off. Good Luck. As for laying your hands on a remote...You could always buy one from Radio Shack, run home, code your pronto, and return it to Radio Shack. Just an idea. (running from an angry mob of Radio Shack clerks chasing me with 23.95 radio controlled monster trucks)
