I found this tread useful and helpful!

I was having issues controlling the Sony UBP-X800 using a Control 4 system (EA3 processor plus Halo Touch remote). The installer had placed the IR emitter (blaster) on the disc door near where Sony put the IR symbol and control of unit was inconsistent (e.g. worked about 70% of the time).

I moved the emitter from the right side of the disc door to the middle of the rocker switch as suggested in this thread and that seems to have solved the problem with inconsistent control. The middle of the rocker switch is is an awkward location for an emitter. I hope to get the control of my player switched over to IP control to achieve a neater install.
