And people have been saying that we should be using Cat6/7 for almost 20 years but Cat5e is still hanging in there. For a dedicated system, I would install conduit but not for whole house- however, the building obviously dictates the ease with which this can be done.

Video generally looks very good and for many, it's the size of the TV that matters, not the resolution. The good thing is that a lot of TVs can up-convert well enough to use Cat5e and not have many problems.
