I only use Miccus for BT, but your application could allow higher priced equipment, which would make Sonos/MusicCast a possibility by connecting to the Aux input and streaming through a similar unit at the head end if the house already has them.
I installed the first Miccus 5 years ago and have had absolutely no calls about it- I see some of the people who made my involvement possible and they haven't said anything, either. If they were having problems, I would definitely hear about them.
That installation is where I had more than 100' of distance through two concrete block walls and it covered the whole stage, full-size basketball court and only became unusable after I went outside.
For about fifty bucks and being totally reliable with good sound, it would have been well worth the price if it had cost four times as much.
