If, instead of wiring a power bridge per instructions, you instead supply its power from some existing box with power in it, and you don't end up overloading the existing circuit, then you have a normally wired power outlet (or two). That's half of what a power bridge does.
The power bridge also has a path for low voltage (video etc) that is separate from the AC power path; install a cable or other wire to get video etc to the TV and you're done.
