Thanks, Lyndel. I don't quite follow.... For example, the miniDSP web site has the following code for "Preset 1":
Code: 35 CA 01 FE
So, hex FE maps to decimal 254. But which code in your post corresponds to this command?
35 is hexadecimal and the decimal value is 53.
CA is hexadecimal and the decimal value is 202.
These 2 values are known as device and subdevice. When you add the 2 values together, per the NEC protocol, the sum of these 2 must be 255.
Same goes for the next 2 digit pairs - They represent the function and the function complement (255 - function). (If you are the least bit curious about all this, Barry has a wonderful document in the Pronto Classic Files section that discusses Pronto Hex IR format).
01 is hexadecimal and the decimal value is 1. (This is the Function Number)
FE is hexadecimal and the decimal value is 254. (You don't care about this).
Sum = 255.
Device = 35
Subdevice (complement) = CA
Function = 01
Function Complement is FE.
So for the command you posted, from my list, you want the one that represents function 1. In other words, this one.
NEC1_D53S202F1 (This IR Scrutinizer name signifies NEC1 protocol, Device 53, Subdevice 202, and Function 1).
35 CA
0A F5 Volume Up would be: (convert 0A from hex to decimal and you get 10).
You guessed it. :-)
NEC1_D53S202F10
35 CA
0E F1 Next Input Source
NEC1_D53S202F14
Best of luck. Let us know if these work. They should!
