The Problem with fiber optic cables is ARC/eARC. These fiber optic cables typically have fiber optic and copper wire inside them. They use the copper for ARC/eARC and while fiber optic can go longer the copper still limits it to about a max of 10m-20m (33ft-66ft). Keep this in mind when using fiber optic. AVPro and Ethereal list the limits of ARC/eARC can carry but many manufacturers don't!
If you are going over 18gbs for 8K and want ARC the best you can do is 20m, if you want ARC and longer distances, I don't know of a solution yet, but I imagine they will come out with a fiber optic extender.
