Murideo Fox and Hound
[Link: murideo.com]They cost about $2500 for the pair
Currently they can only do 40gbs and the new HDMI version is 48gbs. So, hopefully they will have an upgrade or new version in the future. Even though I know very little material uses all 48gbs it would be good for a tester to have that capability and 40gbs is probably fine.
I own those (not the newest version) but don’t understand their full capability. Need to spend more time with them obviously.
I wonder if they would produce results through an extender pair that would accurately quantify any issues. Have you used them to test cat extenders? It would be instructive to test the Sonos/Snap B260 extenders, which I have seen fail in two different systems, and compare with an AVPro set which currently shows signs of being a fix in one of those two systems. I don’t know what the failure point would be… some protocol issue, or purely data throughput?
