Does it work? Yes. Will it do everything you want it to? Probably not without spending money on third-party drivers, extensions, and an additional processor running Simpl.

Graphically, I think its one of the better interfaces out there. Functionally, the UI can be clunky at times. There is still a lot of custom functionality missing. Things that may be givens in Simpl, ELAN, RTI, etc are a three-bank shot while doing a rain dance in Crestron Home.

The software development has been painfully slow and if you want to make a custom 232 or IP driver you will need to know C# in order to use the SDK.

I'm optimistic that Crestron will stop treating resi like the red-headed step child and push this across the finish line, but they need to dedicate more programming resources and hire a few managers with resi install backgrounds to sort it out.
