I found the first Sonance SLS I did last week had significantly less volume than all the Episode systems I've done. All of the Episodes were powered by either Crown CDI1000s or CDI2000s with a Cleanbox Pro. The SLS was powered by a Sonance DSP750MKii amp without a cleanbox. Sounded ok. It had a good 30 to 40 percent less volume so you had to crank it to max or near max to get any decent volume
Let us know if you plan on trying a Cleanbox Pro on the above Sonance system. I'm curious if it brings up your volume level........
In looking at the Cleanbox Pro info it seems it's for connecting consumer level unbalanced (Sonos Port, etc.) to a balanced output, which I believe is usually XLR on 70Volt systems. Though it does have RCA output on the balanced side.......
I don't know, I haven't dealt with this before. BUT I know what you mean by having a pretty low output on the Sonance amp........
