That seems excessive. I mean excessive to wait with the remote pointed at the TV that long. What if you put that command at the end of the DTV Activity? Then on would turn the tv on, then it would probably take a couple seconds for you to press the DTV activity, a second or 2 for it so change the remote to control the DTV box and then switch inputs to HDMI 1 in the program.
In other words, use the time to do all of the other things.
